I trained first as an economist and worked in the field of Corporate Finance for over 14 years in the UK, US, Japan and Australia. In my second career I re-trained as a Life Coach, Yoga teacher and Massage therapist. I've had extensive experience teaching Wellbeing and Stress Management courses both in small groups and on a one to one basis.

I completed a Masters degree in Applied Positive Psychology, which was the first course in this area to be run in Europe. In addition I became an accredited Emotional Intelligence coach and trained with the Centre for Applied Positive Psychology in Strengths Coaching

I also work on a part time basis as a volunteer for YourStory, a youth development charity. My passion is to help foster creativity, productivity and above all wellbeing and happiness in all areas of peoples' lives, especially the workplace. To do this I have created imaginative training courses which fuse ideas from Life Coaching, Positive Psychology and Eastern philosophies.

My personal experience of yoga and pilates comes from rehabilitating my body after an injury, leading to a rewarding journey of discovery involving the mechanics of the physical body and the connection between mind, body and energy.

I've practised yoga for 9 years and have been teaching since 2003.  I study regularly with teachers trained by BKS Iyengar in a style which emphasises restoration of energy to the body through classical and remedial postures.  My yoga teacher training is in the Sivananda style focusing on asana, pranayama, meditation and the philosophy of non-dualism.  I am also a student of Buddhist Vipassana meditation.

I am hoping to commence an MSc in Cognitive & Decision Sciences in 2010, to explore a new academic area that integrates Psychology, Neuroscience and Economics.

My wider interests are shaped by an awareness of the interconnectedness of all things learned through yoga and meditation, global environomental issues and encouraging people to view all inhabitants of the planet with respect and compassion.
