What is abdominal massage therapy ?
Abdominal massage therapy is a popular type of massage, that benefits and helps a range of conditions and symptoms. An abdominal massage can be used to treat a wide range of health concerns, with particular focus on those relating to the stomach area - such as bloating, constipation, cramps, or digestion problems.
At Breathe London we focus on Arvigo® Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy (ATMAT)
The Arvigo® Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy (ATMAT) is an ancient healing therapy which uses an external, non-invasive, hands only manipulation to balance the nervous system and improve the flow of blood, lymph and chi energy throughout the body.
The Arvigo® techniques were put together and taught by Dr. Rosita Arvigo, DN. and her learnings and theory were based on her apprenticeship with the well-known Maya healer Don Elijio Panti. The Arvigo® Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy can help enhance wellness, balance and health, and regular treatments can help improve various conditions. It is also known for helping women with reproductive problems - as the massage can help guide reproductive and pelvic organs back into optimal positions, if they have previously been displaced.
What conditions may it be useful for?
As a relaxing and non-invasive treatment, abdominal massage therapy is generally suitable for a lot of people, but if you’re unsure about whether abdominal massage is right for you - you can contact a healthcare provider, or drop us an email.
