Central London Wellbeing Therapies

The Breathe London therapy centres, based at Jubilee Hall gym Covent Garden and the Colombo Centre in Waterloo, are planning a staged re opening on Monday 6th July.

We want to reassure you that your safety, and the safety of the therapists who work at Breathe London, is our priority. We are working with the team at Jubilee Hall Trust on a plan to open the centres.  This will include a deep cleaning prior to re-opening plus a range of new protocols; including regular disinfection of facilities, social distancing rules and the provision of personal protective equipment.

We are also planning to implement changes to the therapy business which enable therapies to take place with added piece of mind. We will implement best practice from the governing professional bodies of the various therapies at the centres. These will include the following:

  • checking on clients wellbeing prior to arrival at the centres
  • clothes storage,
  • extra turnaround time between patients and also therapist usage of rooms
  • use of new larger waiting areas to enable social distancing
  • minimum PPE standards

We are proud that our therapy business is based at Jubilee Hall Trust sites.  Jubilee Hall Trust is a not for profit organisation which has promoted wellbeing and community connection for over 40 years. All the rental income we pay for use for use of the centres are repatriated towards good causes in our community.

Slowly, safely, mindfully we are re building our therapy business

Breathe London ethos and value

We have a wide range of mind and body therapies to help heal body, mind and soul.  Physical and mental wellbeing go hand in hand and our therapists often work in combination with one another.  Whether you want to find out about our treatments for back pain, headaches, infertility, stress, anxiety, phobias, weight loss, addictions or whether you just want to find a therapist and a therapy that enables you to feel restored, balance and energised then Breathe London is the place to come

All of the thirty therapists at the centres have at least eight years experience in their chosen field (most have much more) and all share common Breathe values of  kindness, openness, respect, attention to detail and value for money.  Experience, skill levels and kindness are the most important aspects of any healing relationship between a client and a therapist.

The history of Breathe London

Andy Roberts and Tom TeWhaiti set up Breathe back in 2003. It's called Breathe because in a former career, as a corporate financier, Andy was working late one night with his colleague Pam and he was reminded to take a chill pill when he was getting worked up by a deadline.

The rooms are beautiful healing spaces.  In a former life the Colombo centre was the old Sainsbury’s head office on the Southbank.  In the 70s the centre became a wellbeing centre serving the local community.  Since then generations of local Southwark people have come and played at the centre and it is one of the few places in central London where people can play five a side football, netball, tennis, go to a gym and engage in community activities.

Colombo is a not for profit organisation which re invests all surpluses to run local community activities.  We are proud that the rental income Breathe pays for our therapy rooms is redistributed back to the community. We are proud that our home is at Colombo in partnership with Jubilee Hall Trust and Coin Street Community builders
